It all looks like we are living through a apocalyptic movie. The Covid-19 pandemic hit suddenly and spread around the world, completely bringing all events including weddings to a complete halt for a few months. Soon, once various administrations devised various guidelines and rules to control the spread of the virus, weddings started to happen again. These “Pandemic weddings” however have been very controlled with limited number of guests and sometimes with no guests at all to comply with local health regulations. Couples started adding Livestream to their weddings to make sure their family and friends don’t miss out on their special day. Though having them in person is totally different, couples had to make compromises or wait for a uncertain future date which many decided against and planned their wedding as soon as regulations allowed them to.
One interesting part about these pandemic weddings are the masks. Masks, masks everywhere! The future children of these couples when looking at their parents wedding albums would have a great story to hear!
Trust us humans to make the best of every situation. Custom made masks, personalized masks for their guests, decorated masks etc have all made an appearance at various weddings. Here are some of the photos of the weddings I photographed where the “masks” make an appearance.
If you are a wedding photographer in Memphis or any other city and have your own pandemic wedding photos, I would love to see them!
